01City Overview

What Hyderabad is like

"Hyderabad is where 400-year-old Qutb Shahi tombs stand a short drive from a Google campus, and both feel completely at home. A city of many cultures, where international professionals feel welcome."
Hyderabad has gone through one of the most remarkable city transformations of this century. The City of Pearls was once the seat of the Nizams, one of history's wealthiest royal families. Today it is India's most competitive tech city after Bangalore. Over 1,500 multinationals (MNCs), including Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Apple, Meta, TCS and Wipro, have major operations here. For families moving from abroad, it is very good value. Its private hospitals are excellent and often cheaper than Mumbai's, and living costs are lower than Bangalore's, mostly because of rent. Its airport (RGIA) is one of India's highest rated, with direct flights to Dubai, Singapore, London and Frankfurt. And Hyderabadis are famously warm, so newcomers feel welcome from day one.
